Between June 1 and June 15, 2026, Angular v22 made Signal Forms, Angular Aria and async reactivity stable, Apache httpd 2.4.68 fixed 13 vulnerabilities, Apple applied Texas age assurance rules to new Apple Accounts and announced a new Sign in with Apple relay email domain, and Angular published several security advisories. Patch Apache first, then review your app login and age flows.
Below is a quick summary table, then a section for each release covering what shipped, what it means for you, how we use it in WordPress builds, what it means for mobile apps and what to do next.

Angular security advisories
What shipped
The Angular team published these security advisories in this period:
- CVE-2026-50555 and CVE-2026-50556 (high, June 2): SSR XSS in @angular/platform-server, fixed in 21.2.16, 20.3.24 and 19.2.25
- CVE-2026-50557 (medium, June 5): template and attribute namespace sanitization bypass, fixed in 21.2.15, 20.3.22 and 19.2.22
- CVE-2026-54264 to CVE-2026-54268 (June 10): service worker header leakage on cross origin redirects, hydration DOM clobbering, weak HttpTransferCache cache keys and a formatDate denial of service (high), and a two way binding sanitization bypass XSS (medium), fixed in 22.0.1, 21.2.17 and 20.3.25
What it means for you
These flaws are in the Angular framework, not in WordPress. They matter if you run an Angular front end, an Ionic Angular app or server side rendering in front of WordPress.
How we use it in WordPress builds
On headless WordPress front ends built with Angular, we update the @angular packages to the fixed version for the project's major line and rerun rendering, login and form tests.
What it means for mobile apps
Ionic Angular apps ship Angular inside the app, so a fix for code that runs in the app needs a rebuild and a new store submission.
What to do next
- Update to Angular 22.0.1, 21.2.17 or 20.3.25 or later.
- Ask our mobile app team to rebuild and resubmit an affected app.
Angular v22 Makes Signal Forms, Angular Aria and Async Reactivity Stable
What shipped
The Angular team announced v22 on June 3, 2026. What it brings:
- Angular v22 was released June 3, 2026 (angular.dev lists it as released 2026-06-03).
- Signal Forms, Angular Aria and the Asynchronous Reactivity APIs moved to stable status.
- Angular Aria's twelve UI patterns are available for production use, with test harnesses.
- Angular v21 moved to LTS on the same date.
What it means for you
Features that were experimental in v21 are now safe to use in production. v21 apps keep getting critical fixes under LTS until June 2027.
How we use it in WordPress builds
Angular Aria gives us accessible menus, tabs and listboxes for decoupled front ends that render WordPress content, which helps meet accessibility requirements without custom code for each widget.
What it means for mobile apps
Ionic Framework 9, released in August 2026, supports Angular 22, so Ionic Angular apps can plan both upgrades together.
What to do next
Upgrade one version at a time, from v21 to v22, with ng update. Our headless WordPress team handles Angular front ends.
Apple Applies Texas Age Assurance Rules to New Apple Accounts
What shipped
Apple posted an update for apps distributed in Texas on June 3, 2026:
- On June 3, 2026, Apple said new Apple Accounts in Texas are now subject to Texas law SB 2420 after a court lifted an injunction.
- Developers can request age category data for these accounts through the Declared Age Range API.
- For significant changes, developers should use the Significant Change API under PermissionKit.
- Apple lists a new age rating property type in StoreKit and an App Store server notification that tells developers when a parent or guardian revokes consent.
- Apple asks developers to validate the implementation in the sandbox testing environment.
What it means for you
App developers with users in Texas have legal duties around age categories and parental consent for significant changes. Apple's APIs are the way to get that data without collecting birth dates.
How we use it in WordPress builds
If the app account is tied to a WordPress user, any age category data from the API needs a place to live, such as user meta, with clear rules about who can see it.
What it means for mobile apps
AppPresser apps with logins, purchases or user content may need to call the Declared Age Range API. We review each app's features against the requirements.
What to do next
Ask your legal advisor whether SB 2420 applies to your app, then have your developer review the APIs Apple lists. Our custom mobile app team can implement them.
Apache httpd 2.4.68 Fixes 13 Vulnerabilities Including an .htaccess Privilege Escalation
What shipped
Apache httpd 2.4.68 followed on June 8, 2026, five weeks after 2.4.67:
- Apache httpd 2.4.68 was released June 8, 2026 with fixes for 13 CVEs (6 moderate, 7 low).
- CVE-2026-44119: privilege escalation through .htaccess expressions.
- CVE-2026-34355: overflow in mod_proxy_html; CVE-2026-43951: out of bounds read in merge_response_headers.
- CVE-2026-49975: denial of service in mod_http2.
- CVE-2026-42535 (mod_dav_fs protected directory access) and CVE-2026-44186 (loop in mod_proxy_ftp) were also fixed.
What it means for you
Another .htaccess issue lands here, following the ap_expr fix in 2.4.67. On shared hosting, anyone who can write .htaccess can reach these code paths.
How we use it in WordPress builds
WordPress and many plugins write .htaccess rules, so the file is writable on most Apache hosts. We patch quickly and limit which directories allow overrides.
What it means for mobile apps
The mod_http2 fix guards against denial of service that could take down the API apps depend on.
What to do next
Update to 2.4.68 or later. Our WordPress security and hosting plans include Apache patching.
Sign in with Apple relay email domain change
What shipped
On June 15, 2026, Apple announced a change to Sign in with Apple private relay email addresses. Apple's post states:
- New private relay addresses will use the private.icloud.com domain
- Existing privaterelay.appleid.com addresses keep working
- Apps and websites that use Sign in with Apple must accept the new domain
What it means for you
If your site or app checks email domains, for example to block disposable addresses or to match accounts, new Apple users could fail to register until the new domain is allowed. Email to these users must also reach the new relay domain.
How we use it in WordPress builds
On WordPress and WooCommerce sites with social login, we check email validation rules, anti spam plugins and transactional email settings for hard coded relay domains. Ask us about custom WordPress development if your login is custom.
What it means for mobile apps
AppPresser apps that offer Sign in with Apple pass the email to WordPress, so the fix is usually on the WordPress side, not a new app build.
What to do next
- Search your site and plugin settings for privaterelay.appleid.com
- Allow private.icloud.com everywhere you allow the old domain
- Test a new Sign in with Apple registration
How AlphaWeb handles updates for you
Platform releases like these rarely change WordPress itself, but they change the servers, databases and app stores your site and app depend on. Our support and maintenance plans cover tested updates on staging first, then in production, and our WordPress security and hosting service keeps PHP, web servers and databases current.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Texas age law apply to every app?
Apple says new Apple Accounts in Texas are subject to SB 2420, and developers decide what counts as a significant change. Whether it applies to a specific app is a legal question, so check with your advisor before building.
