Wrestling news does not keep office hours
Backstage reports, surprise announcements and live results break at all hours, often in the middle of a show. Ringside News publishes at a pace few sites can match, and since January 2017 its app has put each story on fans' phones the moment it is posted. Ringside News built the app with AppPresser's app builder.

Independent since 2007
Steve Carrier has written about wrestling since 1997. In 2007 he founded the site that began as WrestleAttitude.com and became Ringside News, and he still owns and runs it. It is not tied to any promotion. Coverage spans WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW and the wider business, with breaking news, results, interviews, transcriptions and analysis. Published journalism policies label each piece as confirmed news, rumor, results, opinion or exclusive. Ringside News built the app on AppPresser.

Why fans keep it on the home screen
- Instant stories. Articles move from the website to the app automatically, covering the major promotions, live results and backstage news.
- Clear exclusives. Original interviews and transcriptions carry an exclusive label.
- Comment threads. Fans react and argue under stories, which makes the app a meeting place after a big match or shock announcement.
- A dark, bold look. Built around the ring logo, the design puts headlines and large photos first. The store graphics say it plainly: made by fans, for fans.

The audience
Fans who want news the second it breaks, viewers checking results on show nights when they cannot watch live, and people who enjoy debating with fellow fans.

Keeping up with a busy newsroom
The site uses WordPress with a GeneratePress child theme. Every article is published once, and AppPresser brings it to the app with no extra steps for writers. The app still gets regular updates, including better support for readers who use larger text sizes.
Years of steady service
For a high volume publisher, reliability over time matters as much as launch day. Ringside News also shows that comments and community can move from a WordPress site into an app and keep readers together.
