History
OpenAI introduced Operator first, folded it into ChatGPT agent, and replaced ChatGPT agent with ChatGPT Work.
Developer access: ChatGPT Work is used inside ChatGPT, with no public API for handing it tasks. Developers can build custom agents with the computer use tool in the OpenAI Responses API.
