What Grok Bot Does on Its Own
You message a Bot in the desktop or mobile app, or tag it on X, and it plans and carries out the work: signing into the apps and websites you allow, working through each step and reporting back.
Its Own Cloud Computer
Each Bot works on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, files and a terminal, so it can use websites and apps even when there is no API.
Routines and Memory
Bots remember context, learn routines and run them on a schedule or when an event happens, such as an email, a Slack message or a webhook call.
Approvals
Sensitive actions such as sending, publishing or purchasing can be held for a person to approve.
Developer access: Grok Bot is used as a ready made app. There is no public API for chatting with a Bot today. A routine can be started by a webhook, Bots can use your own tools through MCP connectors, and team admins have an admin API for settings.

Not a public chat API today. A Grok Bot routine can be started by a webhook, and Bots can use your own tools through MCP connectors.
Can Grok Bot use apps that have no API?
Yes. It works in a real browser on its own cloud computer, so it can use websites and apps the way a person does, within the access you allow.
How do you keep it safe?
We give each Bot only the access it needs and keep approval gates on sending, publishing, purchasing and other external actions.
